Over the years, the World Credit Congress and Exhibition has established itself as the premier gathering for credit professionals worldwide.
In 2007 the inaugural congress set the stage for Credit professionals from across the globe to gather and share insights, learn from each other and network with the best in the world.
Since then the World Credit Congress has happened every second year, each time in a different continent. In 2009 in Ireland, 2011 in Australia, 2013 in Africa, 2016 in Romania, 2020 in South Africa. In 2022, once the world had overcome Covid, he returned to Ireland once again. Unfortunately, in 2024, the Congress had to be canceled days before due to the hurricane that hit Florida.
Each time thought leaders from around the Globe have shared their insights. Every second year credit professionals from diverse backgrounds and industries have converged at the World Credit Congress to connect, innovate, transform, collaborate, and learn.
From New York to London, Tokyo to Dubai, this global community has continued to grow, reinforcing the idea that credit knows no borders.
Now, as we look ahead to the future, and as we face an era of unprecedented change amid great global turbulence, we are thrilled to unveil the theme for the 8th World Credit Congress and Exhibition in BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA to continue “Building a Global Credit Community”

He is a leading global credit and collection expert, lecturer, and author. He has trained over 800 companies worldwide and consults on credit risk, receivables management, leadership, and organizational development. Founder of the WCCE Educational Committee and Managing Director of The Profit Centered Credit Group since 2009, he is a Master Credit Executive endorsed by ACA International and an accredited Executive Coach. He has authored books on collection strategies and negotiation.
Declan Flood.
Ireland.
He is the Founder and CEO of Irish Credit Management Training, known as a leading Credit Management Author, Trainer, Educator, and Speaker. Renowned globally for his holistic Credit strategies, he emphasizes full payment while nurturing strong client bonds. He has presented at international conferences spanning Mexico, Canada, Helsinki, South Africa, London, Malta, and Ireland.
Josef Busuttil.
Malta.
MBA graduate from Henley (UK) and FCICM, co-founded the Malta Association of Credit Management in 2021, where he serves as Director. He’s FECMA Council member since 2003 and President from 2016–2020. He’s a renowned Lecturer on trade credit management, emphasizing strategies for competitive advantage, cash flow stability, and sustained profitability.
Eugene Joubert.
South Africa.
Eugene is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Management in South Africa and the U.K., a Master Credit Executive of the American Creditors Association, and a Member of the Institute of Directors. With an MBA in Finance and Credit, he’s a CP of SAOA. Eugene moderates Credit Management exams, drafts syllabi for the Federation of Credit Management, and authored regulations adopted by the SA Government for Debt Collectors.
